The Heart’s Alternator

Growing up in this world isn’t exactly easy. However, our mind is so great that we adapted to our environment in order to survive. This process is done mostly without our assistance, like an auto pilot. So we can assume that for the better part of 25 years many if not most of us operate mostly on autopilot.

After 25ish if we’re lucky, we’ll start trying to have a relationship with ourselves, trying to find yourself. Rather than trying to pretend to be someone you’re not.

To live a beautiful life is to become the person you was meant to be.

So for the 1st time in your life you’re actually trying to unlearn some things instead of learning something new.

Miguel Ruiz said it best in the “The Four Agreements” explaining it as the smokey mirror. The smoke is the dogmas, the politics, the conditioning, brain washing and simply bs.

Now in this beautiful journey we’re trying to clear up the smoke so as to find our true self. We must unlearn in order to gain understanding and wisdom. We must go back to the roots instead of climbing the tall branches.

Ok all this is great but I don’t see how this has anything to do with the heart much less an alternator, you say. I’m getting there.

So in this journey we keep digging in. We realize that our true self lies somewhere in our center. Illustrated with our hand whenever we say, “Me”!

I am not my head. Which is weird because in my head is where I store who I think I am, right? What kind of clothes I wear, what music I like, what I like to eat. Yet somewhere in my chest I feel that my true self is.

I’ve always been big on the assumption that “God” is more within than only waaaay up there somewhere. So for the sake of this article I claim that my true self is really the god within me that is an identical twin to the god within Everyone else.

While running I was remembering the alternator I just replaced in my car. An alternator is a genius part. The battery powers the engine, the engine has a belt attached to it and to the alternator by which it powers the alternator then the alternator powers the battery. Genius!

Well, our bodies aren’t quite built the same way. The Heart powers our brain which powers everything else while the Heart still pumps blood to not only the brain but also to every single organ and parts of your body always, for as long as we live.

My conclusion is that my true self or my God within, is the Heart’s Alternator.

These are some of the great thoughts I get while running ha ha.

Cheers,

Live Responsibly
