Pick and choose your battles

One day I realized that I was using that statement to create excuses.

They’re ALL my battles! Prioritize your battles.

Organize them in such a way that by fighting certain battles first, you’ll eliminate other battles.

When we hear “pick and choose your battles!”, Something rings true.

Nevertheless, it is usually used to cop out on responsibility. It is ALL our battle. The thing about excuses is that they’re usually right or at the least, justified. However, they are just that, excuses.

We just need to be strategical about the fight.

Stay in the fight!

  1. Pick and choose: Great reflection! I think there are cases where you just need to figure out how to get it all done. However, sometimes we find ourselves doing things right, but not doing the right things. If our jobs, tasks and duties are not contributing to our strategic goals (organizational or personal) we have to decide what we need to shed in order to do the things that’s going to advance us or the team.
In short, I think sometimes we do need to say, these battles are just not worth our time and effort.
    Reminds me of Sun Tzu:
“Thus we may know that there are five essentials for victory:
1 He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight. “
