The Way of Jesus in a Nutshell

I will love God with my whole being, and I will love my neighbor as myself.

I will seek the kingdom first, trusting that what is truly needed will be given.

I will choose mercy over pride, compassion over judgment, and truth over appearance.

I will forgive as I have been forgiven, and I will not let resentment rule me.

I will serve rather than dominate, and I will consider the lowly, the overlooked, and the wounded.

I will keep my heart pure and my motives honest before God.

I will pray in secret, live in sincerity, and let my yes be yes.

I will be a peacemaker, gentle in spirit, strong in conviction, and steadfast in love.

I will not store up my life in possessions, but in faithfulness, generosity, and courage.

I will carry my cross, accept the cost of love, and not turn back when the path is difficult.

I will abide in God, remain in love, and let my life bear fruit that blesses others.

I will live as though eternal life begins now, because God’s life is already at work in me.
