Namasté

I loved when I 1st learned this concept many years ago. It is what many people in the east say internally when they bow to you. To me I thought they were all just saying hi.

I’m huge in seeing people’s greatness in them even if they don’t see it in themselves.

This concept explains my feelings perfectly. I see you are great because I see who you really are.

In the west we are basically toy soldiers, we are born sinners, we must suffer and die in order to finally live. We need an instruction manual like we do with a machine.

Somewhere in between the west and far east life is more like a play. The little mask that was held by a stick and folks went to gatherings. A mascaraed, one can close ones eyes and imagine being somewhere or a situation that you’ve never experienced and yet you can be there. We are a different person with our parents, children, employee, employer, spouse, etc.

Although I can relate to both of the above, I tend to lean more towards the far east.

Life as an organism. Alan Watts put it in a great way, “the world peoples in the same way the apple tree apples”. This rock we live in and everything in it is an organism. One in the same.

The Japanese have a term for art that I love. Wabi Sabi, it is to describe beautiful Japanese art, unsymmetrical beauty; imperfectly perfect; perfect imperfection.

Wabi Sabi describes the beauty of nature. The trees, clouds, rain drops, blades of grass, stars, they are the most perfect things in the world yet they are perfectly imperfect.

Over there, they believe we are perfect beings from the beginning and always.

Namasté, have a great day
