Progress

A very long time ago I made a commitment to myself to get better in every aspect of my life.

The first step to manifesting that goal was to Do better every day, every week, every month and every year.

Everyday since that faithful day many years ago was perfect. Not necessarily a good day or a day without failure and pain but now I can look back and see that every day was perfectly engineered for me.

Don’t judge what you can’t understand.

There’s a divine plan for your life.

If you surrender and apply positive effort, the divine will guide you.

Since,

I’ve had some hard days.

I’ve had some days I’ve learned a lot.

I’ve had some character building days.

But they’ve all been perfect.

Around this time of the year, I start comparing my progress from years past according with my goals.

I am pleased to say that for many years I’ve progressively become a better man, a stronger man, and a truly happier man.

The performance marks begin with the results from my relationships. Then I look at miles ran, hours in the gym, books read, how much have I written, meditation and prayer practice, what new commitments have I made, how have I been of service to others, have I substantially grown, etc.

Every year I cannot imagine how I’m going to progress from those great results, yet every year I do.

All because I’ve surrender to this beautiful life and I’ve given much effort consistently.

Hard work works.

Tony Robbins said it best,

“Progress equals Happiness”
